Prof. Yanthi R.I. Hutagaol-Martowidjojo

Prof.Yanthi R.I. Hutagaol-Martowidjojo is a distinguished academic in the Financial Accounting and Corporate Finance. She joined Binus University since 2009. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Bogor Agricultural Institute in 1988, followed by a Master’s and Doctoral degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Glasgow in 1999 and 2005, respectively.

Prof. Hutagaol-Martowidjojo’s teaching portfolio, including Business Finance, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Principles of Accounting, and Research Methodology.  She has been publishing articles in numerous peer-reviewed prestigious journal on topics such as ESG performance, earnings quality, stock price synchronicity, and corporate governance.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Prof. Hutagaol-Martowidjojo is actively involved in various professional engagements, including corporate training and as a speaker on topics such as finance for non-finance professionals and startup funding. She has also authored several case studies in collaboration with the BINUS Case Center, demonstrating her ability to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

Her international presence is notable, having presented at prestigious conferences such as the European Accounting Association Annual Congress and the Australian and New Zealand Finance Association of Australia (AFAANZ).

Dedicated to education and professional development, Professor Hutagaol-Martowidjojo continues to inspire and mentor students and peers through her innovative teaching and impactful research. She is committed to advancing knowledge in finance and accounting, with a special interest in sustainability and governance.
